D&L Window Tinting started as a one car garage, with a small office, and a desk in the corner. Delma Fischer opened the doors in 1992 and while we only averaged a few cars a week, the store persevered. Two years went by and Delma fell ill. As it was her wish, Ronald Gray II Delma’s grandson, purchased D&L in 1994.

The store was in need of a face lift, and the new management decided it was time to bring in a new team of installers. Our President, Ronald Gray II, began refurbishing the building to a clean, comfortable, and reputable establishment. D&L’s clientele began to grow and before we knew it, it was time to hire more employees to compensate the increasing work load. Management decided that every employee hired by the company would undergo a much regimented training program. The program was based around the belief that every customer’s vehicle would look and be treated like one of our own. With the right talent in place, the store looking great, and our already good reputation building, word of mouth traveled. Soon we were being viewed in the top 1% of tinting facilities in the nation.



In the fall of 2002, Ronald began the next phase of our business; building a brand new office, a very large and comfortable waiting room, and two new garages capable of housing four vehicles at a time. Keeping pace and staying determined D&L grew bigger and better every year. Realizing that the best way to stay on top of the industry was to be first on site with new technology, we started using Bekart Industries Computer Cut. This allows us to cut virtually every vehicle from a computer integrated system, for our customers this means no blades ever have to touch their vehicle.

Just recently, in September of 2005, D&L moved on to yet another phase of our company, opening a second location in the Parkville/ Towson area. This store is a state of the art facility and there are none like it in the state of Maryland. The garage is able to accommodate over six vehicles at a time. The waiting area and office are encased in glass and provide a very large and comfortable atmosphere for our customers. We have expanded not only our work area, but our levels of service as well. Currently we offer three brands of window film, one of which is our very own brand, D&L Window Film. We carry 3M’s new innovative color stable film. This film is carbon fiber based and will never lose its look. Solar-Gard HP is also a very good brand that we offer. Upon selling your vehicle, the warranty may be transferred to the new purchaser. We also carry a wide variety of vinyl graphics and film. Sign making, body kits, or any vinyl needs we are now able to assist. D&L has certified trained technicians in the paint protection department of our industry as well. Paint protection film is a growing want and need by many consumers, and following true D&L style, we insisted our employees be trained by an expert certified trainer in paint protection so we could offer this product to our customers.
